vista raid asus p4c800 deluxe

Hi,
I'm keen to give Vista a try (dual booting with XP) but was just looking for a few answers.
1) To dual boot can I install Vista to a clean partition when already running XP and have a boot menu?
2) My mobo supports RAID, and I have a RAID 0 set up just now for XP. Will Vista automatically detect the Promise 378 and maintain the RAID array I have already? Asus have no Vista drivers as far as i can see.
(I will of course make a backup of all important data before doing anything, but was going to be reinstalling XP from scratch anyway soon)

Using the same mobo, I have set up Vista as you are contemplating. During install Vista will ask for the raid drivers but won't install them. This is not a problem surprisingly. My XP install sees all partitions as raid0, and Vista sees all partitions as sata. Everything works as expected except audio. If you are using the Realtec on board audio, there are no Vista drivers available yet so digital audio playback does not work. However it will play system sounds and analog audio. The OS select screen is a hoot. Your options will be Microsoft Windows and "Older Version"

Well i took the plunge. Having found out that the XP RAID drivers work as long as they are not inside a folder on the floppy or USB stick. When i got to the select drive part of the install process i clicked install drivers, Vista located the XP Promise 378 driver and updated the drives available to show my raid array.
Everything else has gone fine with the install except for the following:
SoundBlaster Creative Game Port (Audigy 2 ZS) Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 webcam Logitech MX3000 cordless desktop (mouse and keyboard)
Not had too much chance so far to tinker but am likeing the look and feel

Maybe because I'm using the Intel raid controller and not the Promise. -- Jim
